Focused on Snowboarding
Snowboarding has always drawn influence from other sports and activities—specifically surfing and skateboarding, but after forty-plus years of being a sport and now a rich, deep-rooted culture, there is plenty of inspiration to be drawn directly from our past. The mountains, the weather, and the freedom of sliding down the mountain is what drives us at Will. The will to build the best snowboards at the highest quality with a certain rider in mind. Racing through trees on deep powder days or locking into the perfect heelside turn on fresh corduroy. It’s these precise moments that are unique to snowboarding and should be celebrated, rather than compared to.
A traditional way of thinking
This line is simple and clean. One model. Two sizes, 54 and 58. Two colorways. History proven camber. Traditional sidecut. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel just to come up with fancy marketing stories that take performance away from your snowboard. We have played with the width to avoid heel and toe drag and used the best materials available to ensure the best ride possible.
Attention to Detail
Each snowboard is hand tuned by Mono Cera, in Colorado. They are an industry staple if you are a competitive snowboarder and they tune boards for the best, including many Olympians. We are bringing that same level of expertise to each and every snowboard we make. The process includes defining proper base structure, proper edge bevel, multiple sessions in a wax oven and a hand-finished hot wax. This level of craftsmanship has never been applied and offered to a consumer.
Born and raised in Mammoth Lakes, California—the hotbed of snowboarding’s most influential scene—Billy Anderson is a product of the riding lifestyle with more than thirty years of experience in the snowboarding industry. From the early days of being a stoked grom, a shop kid, a professional snowboarder, a team manager, a film producer, Sr. brand director and vice president at industry leading brands like Burton and Volcom, his experience is unmatched. Mentored from the likes of Volcom’s Richard Woolcott and Baldface’s Jeff Pensiero have taught him the values of attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a culture-based approach. This inspires the product you see today. Billy has seen the industry’s highs and lows and now it is his turn to drive the ship.
